Our tailor shop in Patong, Established since 1999 started with, Mr. Johnny working as a salesman in a small custom made clothing tailor shop in Patong.
After gaining knowledge in this field of work he created his own tailor shop, but unfortunately after 5 years, it got demolished by the tsunami in Phuket on the 24th of December 2004.
A year later he decided to start again and opened his second tailor called “New David Jone Fashion Tailor”. He got this name from his regular customers, who suggested it as his tailor name.
Since then he started a trust worthy team with salesmen, crafters, vast work place and has built a strong customer community with extremely attention to details and quality materials.
Our tailor business has been opened for business for more than 20 years and will go on till the end.

First of all the staff are amazing. They like to get to know you and learn what you like. The suit they made for me is amazing. Having bit of a belly can make it hard to find something to fit right. We used David Jone last year to make a coat for my wife. They did an excellent job. This year I had a suit made. I am very pleased with it. There was a wide range of fabrics. I chose an Australian merino. The style and finished product are excellent. This is a first class business suit. I also had 2 business shirts and 2 casual shirts made. All fit perfectly. My wife has had 2 jackets and 2 blouses made. She wanted a few changes along the and David was very accommodating. Nothing was a problem. We highly recommend David Jone.

I chose lamb leather from the sample i was shown. I wanted a soft leather jacket, BUT when i got my jacket it was NOT made with lamb leather. It was stiff and not soft at all. I was told it would soften after i wear it. What a load of rubbish. It will never get soft like the sample. I was ripped off!! I paid $600AUD. NOT HAPPY

We recently visited Phuket, and came across this Guy David he was very informative and helpful showing us different types of materials and colours we ordered 1 originally then when we returned for a fitting we ordered a second one highly recommend. And fast but well made suits.

I visited Phuket in March 2024 and came across David’s store. There are many suit shops here and most of the people seem a bit pushy and you’re never quite sure what quality you’re going to get. I gave David the benefit of the doubt and happy with the results.I got 2 custom tailored business suits, cashmere/wool blend fabric, custom lining, measured pants and jacket (multiple fittings for perfection) and personalised embroidered text in the lining. Went here as the place was recommended to me by several local expats - was surprised as in this location I was expecting it to be a complete tourist trap, but was pleasantly surprised. The sales staff were great and not at all pushy, simply advising you of the different options available and letting you choose. In fact, since this was for a daily utility work suit, the staff recommended I go with the lower cost blend product to reduce wrinkling and increase longevity. They turned around a complete suit and shirts for me in 3 days - measuring and order on the 1st day, first fitting on day 2, second fitting in day 3, and pick up later that day or the next day. I purchased a suit with an additional pair of trousers and 3 shirts. All in was 25k baht and they threw in a tie. My colleague also ordered 2 shirts and they were ready in 48 hours. Would recommend empire and will be taking my guests here in the future!

A decent experience of tailoring. Ordered 3 tailored shirts, but only after paying walked past their sign advertising shirts at half the price paid. Should’ve negotiated, it seems.The fabric and fit are very good, though they require very careful washing to maintain the brilliance and fit.All in all, a very good experience and I’ll be glad to go back.
Had a suit and shirts made in Ao Nang. These were too big so I came here after reading the good reviews.The boss did a great job reworking my new things. Sitting perfectly now. It also saves the dimensions and you can order from Europe, for example. I felt very well advised and looked after.I'd love to come back!

I came across this fashion house from a fortunate incident of losing my Hotel key and through the honesty of the owner who informed me where I left it was able to not only collect it but get a great fitted suit made for me. The service was second to none and always friendly , honest and with stylish advice that helped create the best suit in my wardrobe. The man has great taste in footwear too. 10/10.

I have been to several tailor-made suit shop in Thailand and I’ve got to say this is one of the best shops I’ve been too the service is brilliant ,material it’s fantastic and they are so honest they don’t force me to buy things they’ve been a couple of times when I wanted to buy some shirts and they said don’t buy this one because it don’t suit you… I respect people who don’t force you to buy things… I could’ve easily made more money from me honesty the best policy I’ll give them a 10 out of 10

The owner very nice, kind, knowledgeable, patient and willing to teach regarding the suits.There’s a lot of choices of fabric to choose from which are of high quality and variety in terms of pattern and colour.The workmanship is professional and fast, which can be done within 2 days.The service also allows female clothings and with a variety of coats and jackets. They also give services where you can make suits without even going to thailand and they will ship it to you.Price are reasonable cheap compared to other places as well :)

Mr Johhny did a great job! I took some fabric over that I had purchased in Australia and got them to make a dress and skirt. They were both made to measure and fit perfectly.
