Our tailor shop in Patong, Established since 1999 started with, Mr. Johnny working as a salesman in a small custom made clothing tailor shop in Patong.
After gaining knowledge in this field of work he created his own tailor shop, but unfortunately after 5 years, it got demolished by the tsunami in Phuket on the 24th of December 2004.
A year later he decided to start again and opened his second tailor called “New David Jone Fashion Tailor”. He got this name from his regular customers, who suggested it as his tailor name.
Since then he started a trust worthy team with salesmen, crafters, vast work place and has built a strong customer community with extremely attention to details and quality materials.
Our tailor business has been opened for business for more than 20 years and will go on till the end.

It only takes a couple of visits and each was over so quickly and you are treated so well whilst in the shop.The detail of customisation available from the fabric to the buttons will ensure it is a one of a kind.I love mine and the addition of a hoody, it fits so well and the material is so soft and breathable for a summer evening in Australia.I can not wait to go back to Phuket and order more custom shirts and jackets

I went to this tailor based on the Google reviews and they did not disappoint. I had 12 shirts made and their turn around time is INSANELY fast without sacrificing quality. I love the shirts and they fit perfectly. I had them take all my measurements and plan on having a suit made and sent to me. This is a very professional operation and I can’t recommend them enough.

Ever.Being short & chubs for some time, my personal experiences with suits have always been find a jacket & pants off the rack with material, colour & styling that I like, but then can zip & button up and then pay for adjustments to arm & leg lengths (sigh*)David & the team at New David Jone changed all that as a tailored suit wasn't ever a consideration... until now.Only a week in Phuket Patong, but happened across David outside the store handing out business cards on the first day out from our nearby hotel stay. I chose lamb leather from the sample i was shown. I wanted a soft leather jacket, BUT when i got my jacket it was NOT made with lamb leather. It was stiff and not soft at all. I was told it would soften after i wear it. What a load of rubbish. It will never get soft like the sample. I was ripped off!! I paid $600AUD. NOT HAPPY

We went in for multiple fittings so they could check everything was perfect every step of the way and it turned out perfect! Hands down the best Tailor in Phuket, I went in with a concept and after a short discussion I was measured up and in for the first fitting within a couple of days. I was extremely happy with the quality that I ordered further quantities in different colors.
We recently visited Phuket, and came across this Guy David he was very informative and helpful showing us different types of materials and colours we ordered 1 originally then when we returned for a fitting we ordered a second one highly recommend. And fast but well made suits.

I visited Phuket in March 2024 and came across David’s store. There are many suit shops here and most of the people seem a bit pushy and you’re never quite sure what quality you’re going to get. Went here as the place was recommended to me by several local expats - was surprised as in this location I was expecting it to be a complete tourist trap, but was pleasantly surprised. The sales staff were great and not at all pushy, simply advising you of the different options available and letting you choose. In fact, since this was for a daily utility work suit, the staff recommended I go with the lower cost blend product to reduce wrinkling and increase longevity. They turned around a complete suit and shirts for me in 3 days - measuring and order on the 1st day, first fitting on day 2, second fitting in day 3, and pick up later that day or the next day. I purchased a suit with an additional pair of trousers and 3 shirts. All in was 25k baht and they threw in a tie. My colleague also ordered 2 shirts and they were ready in 48 hours. Would recommend empire and will be taking my guests here in the future!

A decent experience of tailoring. Ordered 3 tailored shirts, but only after paying walked past their sign advertising shirts at half the price paid. Should’ve negotiated, it seems.The fabric and fit are very good, though they require very careful washing to maintain the brilliance and fit.All in all, a very good experience and I’ll be glad to go back.

When it comes to the custom tailoring these guys know their stuff. They take measurements quick smart and find out the kind of cut you’re after. Two days is all it took and they had the suits ready, stitched and cut to your liking. A few final adjustments and everything’s done. Could not recommend them any more than I have. Pure professionals, absolute legends and hot dudes all round.

All of the clothes we ordered were made very fast, and the quality and fit of them all are amazing! We were only in Thailand for a few days and David made sure everything was ready with more than enough time, and made alterations to the clothes as requested with no hassle at all. I stepped in this lovely shop upon polite invitation from one of the colleagues working there, as I indeed needed a suit for my wedding. I was offered with few options, from budget-friendly to high quality materials, many colors and designs of materials, styles of suits etc.At first, I turned around and took a glance look at other shops to see what do they have to offer; prices were slightly lower elsewhere, but Mr. Johnny had a much better and different approach with his offers and suggestions, not focused solely on price, but on quality of workmanship and material, which I really liked, and decided to go with his work.So glad I did that, as upon first trial after just a day, I was very happy and satisfied with what I've seen and tried, as it suited me almost perfect. My girlfriend and I saw David’s good reviews online and decided to head in and ask about having two full suits made for her.David and his colleagues are all super professional, take the time to listen to your requirements, and then consult with you as you select fabrics, styles.The entire process involved 3 sessions across 2 days. First for measurements and fabrics, the next day adjustments to the shell of the suit, and you can have the tailors alter the length of pants, cut of jacket etc. Final session was the fitting which was great. The suits are of a really good quality, fit exactly as ordered, great attention to detail with stitching.In the future, when it’s time for more suits, I would definitely come back and recommend to friends!
Just received my suit. I went to a couple of stores before deciding on this one. Why? Very competent and friendly consultation with a fair price right away. Everyone else started their first price about double the amount offered here.Quality is great on first feel. Will look forward trying it out at home.

I originally walked by the shop and noticed they had a great selection so decided to take a chance. The shop had great service and since we were here for awhile we did 3 fittings to make sure the fit was great. It is a bit pricier than some of the other shops around but the attention to detail and quality are worth it. Ended up paying $600 for 3 high-quality suits made with Italian wool and very happy overall with the experience 😊

I was referred to Mr. Johnny’s shop by a friend who told me that if I wanted a suit, this tailor is the best and most economical tailor on the planet. Being that I had suits made in India and Dubai I really wanted to see if that was true and visited his shop. Johnny was very professional and provided me great quality fabrics at very good prices! Not only that but he took precise measurements of key areas that resulted in very fine looking custom shirts, blazers, and trousers! He also had a unique selection of linings that gave my suit interiors a unique look that can't be found elsewhere. I highly recommend this store if you need any type of suit or custom made clothing and I know that I will be going back!
